CAUTION WITH ELECTRICAL PARTS

Battery Cable

Before disconnecting connectors or removing electrical parts, disconnect the negative battery cable.

Connectors

Disconnecting connectors

Never pull on the wire harness when disconnecting connectors.
Connectors can be disconnected by pressing or pulling the lock lever as shown.

Locking connectors

When locking connectors, listen for a click that will indicate they are securely locked.

Inspection

  1. 1
    When a tester is used to check for continuity or to measure voltage, insert the tester probe from the wire harness side.
    Connector being probed from the terminal/front side, marked with a large X overlay — illustrates the WRONG way to insert a tester probe.
