DRIVE BELT

Inspection

Drive belt inspection

  1. 1
Check the drive belt for wear, cracks, and fraying. Replace if necessary.
  2. 2
Check the drive belt deflection by applying mode rate pressure (98 N, 10 kg, 22 lb) midway between the pulleys. Adjust if necessary.
Belt tension can be measured between any pulleys.

Adjustment

Drive belt adjustment

  1. 1
Loosen P/S oil pump bolt (A) and nuts (B) and (C). Adjust the belt deflection by turning the adjusting bolt (D).
