Steps After Installation

    Install the under cover.
  2. 2
    Fill with the specified amount and type of engine oil. (Refer to page D-5.)
  3. 3
    Connect the negative battery cable.
  4. 4
    Start the engine and check for leaks.
  5. 5
    Check the oil level and add oil if necessary.

    Disassemble in the order shown in the figure, referring to Disassembly Note.
    Exploded view of the oil pump assembly: pump body (9), oil seal (1, REPLACE), roll pin (5), pressure spring (7), control plunger (8), spring seat (6), inner rotor (4), outer rotor (3), and pump cover (2). Nine numbered balloon callouts identify each part.
