Transmission support after differential removal

    Prepare a steel plate as shown in the figure, a wooden block, bolts (8x1.25mm), and washers.
    After removing the differential, support the transmission as follows to prevent damaging the fire wall, crank angle sensor, and engine mount.
    Dimensioned drawing of a steel support plate: overall length 900mm (35.43 in), with 800mm (31.5 in) hole spacing, width 200mm (7.87 in), and two 8mm (0.31 in) holes for the mounting bolts.

    Install the parts as shown in the figure.

    Connect the driveshaft to the output shaft with the marks aligned.

    Install the differential.
    Adjust the rear wheel alignment after installation, if the upper arm installation bolt and nut are removed. (Refer to Section R.)

    Install the differential mounting spacer.

    Support the transmission with a jack so that it is level.
  3. 3
    Position the PPF and snugly tighten the transmission-side bolts by hand.
