Installation note

Transmission

Tilt the engine by pushing up on the front of oil pan with a wooden block and a jack for easy installation of the transmission.

Power plant frame (PPF)

Power plant frame (PPF) installation

  1. 1
    Install the differential mounting spacer.
    Tightening torque: 37—52 N·m (3.8—5.3 m-kg, 27—38 ft-lb)

    Support the transmission with a jack so that it is level.
  3. 3
    Position the PPF and snugly tighten the transmission-side bolts by hand.
  4. 4
    Verify that the sleeve is installed into the block.
    The reamer bolt is installed in the forward hole.

    Install the spacer and bolts, then snugly tighten them.
  6. 6
    Snugly install the power plant frame bracket.

    Tighten the transmission-side bolts.
    Tightening torque: 104—123 N·m (10.6—12.6 m-kg, 77—91 ft-lb)
  8. 8
    Tighten the differential-side bolts.
    Tightening torque: 104—123 N·m (10.6—12.6 m-kg, 77—91 ft-lb)
