INSPECTION

Transmission oil inspection

  1. 1
    Remove check plug (A).
    Transmission case showing check plug (A) with magnified inset of the check plug hole at correct oil level (oil at the bottom of the hole).

    Verify that the oil is at the bottom of the check plug hole. If it is low, add the specified oil from check plug (A).
  3. 3
    Wipe clean and apply sealant to the plug threads before installing.

REPLACEMENT

Transmission oil replacement

  1. 1
    Remove the plugs ((A) and (B) with washer).

    Drain the oil into a suitable container.
    Drain plug (A) being removed with arrow indicating oil drain flow downward.

    Wipe all plugs clean.
  4. 4
    Apply sealant to plug thread (A).
  5. 5
    Install the drain plug (B) with new washer).
  6. 6
    Add the specified oil from check plug (A) port until the level reaches the bottom of the check plug hole.

    Install plug (A).
