Parking Brake Cable Removal / Inspection / Installation

    Block the wheels firmly.

    Release the parking brake.
  3. 3
    Remove the parking brake lever.
  4. 4
    Jack up the vehicle and support it with safety stands.
  5. 5
    Remove the parking brake cable in the order shown in the figure.

    Install in the reverse order of removal.
  7. 7
    After installation: (1) Adjust the parking brake lever stroke. (2) Depress the brake pedal a few times. (3) Verify that the rear brakes do not drag while the wheels are rotated by hand.
