Heater core inspection

  1. 1
    Check the heater core fins for blockage.
  2. 2
    If the fins are clogged, clean them.
  3. 3
    Check the fittings for cracks or other damage. Replace the heater core if necessary.
    Heater core unit shown in isolation for inspection, with two coolant hose stubs visible on the left side and the finned heat-exchanger matrix on the right.
