Magnetic Clutch Disassembly (continued)

    Disconnect the stator wires from the compressor housing.
    Hand disconnecting the stator wires from the compressor housing; the stator coil is visible inside the compressor body.

    Remove the snap ring and the stator.
    Snap-ring pliers being used to remove the snap ring that retains the rotor on the compressor shaft; rotor labeled below.

    Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly, referring to Assembly note.
    Hand installing shims onto the compressor shaft during assembly to adjust the clearance between the pressure plate and rotor.
