    Disconnect the negative battery cable.

    Disconnect the cooling fan connector.
  3. 3
    Remove the bolts and cooling fan.
  4. 4
    Remove the condenser fan as shown in the figure.

Condenser fan inspection

  1. 1
    Disconnect the condenser fan connector.
    Bench-test setup for the condenser fan motor. The fan motor is on the left with two wires from its connector running to a 12V battery; to the right is the 2-pin connector face with terminals labeled 'a' (top) and 'b' (bottom). Illustrates step 2 of applying 12V to terminal a and grounding terminal b.
