Blower and A/C switch inspection

    Check continuity between terminals of the switch.

    If not as specified, replace the switch.

Temperature blend wire

Temperature blend wire adjustment

    Set the temperature blend lever to maximum hot position.
    Temperature blend wire adjustment. Shows the heater control switch lever on the left positioned at MAXIMUM HOT, with an arrow to the heater-unit shutter lever on the right (also at maximum hot — full right). Used to set the wire so the blend door reaches the full hot end-stop.

    Connect and clamp the wire with the shutter lever on the heater unit all the way to the right.
    After installation, move the temperature blend lever to be sure the wire is securely attached and that it moves the full stroke from HOT to COLD.

    Set the airflow mode control lever to VENT position.
    Airflow mode wire adjustment. Shows the airflow mode control lever set to the VENT position on the left and the corresponding shutter lever at the heater unit (right) at its closest point. Used to set the airflow mode wire travel from DEF to VENT.

    Connect and clamp the wire with the shutter lever on the heater unit at its closest point.
    After installation, move the airflow mode control lever to be sure the wire is securely attached and that it moves the full stroke from DEF to VENT.

Rec-Fresh wire

Rec-Fresh wire adjustment

    Set the Rec-Fresh lever to FRESH position.
    Rec-Fresh wire adjustment. Shows the Rec-Fresh control lever moved to the FRESH position on the left and the corresponding shutter lever at the blower unit (right) at its closest point. Used to set the Rec-Fresh wire travel from REC to FRESH.

    Connect and clamp the wire with the shutter lever on the blower unit at its closest point.
    After installation, move the Rec-Fresh lever to be sure the wire is securely attached and that it moves the full stroke from REC to FRESH.
