PRESSURE REGULATOR
F-111prose procedureCAUTION
Obtain the code number and deactivate the audio anti-theft system before disconnecting the battery. (Refer to page T-113.)
Inspection
Fuel line pressure
WARNING
Before performing the following operation, release the fuel pressure from the fuel system to reduce the possibility of injury or fire. (Refer to page F-101.)
Fuel line pressure
- 1Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
05U0FX-162 - 2Connect a fuel pressure gauge between the fuel main pipe and the fuel main hose. (Install clamps as shown.)
05U0FX-163 - 3Connect the negative battery terminal.
- 4Start the engine and run it at idle.
- 5Measure the fuel line pressure.Fuel line pressure: 216—265 kPa (2.2—2.7 kg/cm2, 31—38 psi)

05U0FX-164 - 2Install a fuel pressure gauge between the fuel pipe and the fuel main hose. (Install clamps as shown.)
05U0FX-165 - 3Connect the negative battery terminal.
Hold pressure test
- 4Connect diagnosis connector terminals F/P and GND with a jumper wire.
05U0FX-166 - 5Turn the ignition switch ON for 10 sec. to operate the fuel pump.
- 6Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the jumper wire.
- 7Block the outlet of the pressure regulator.
- 8Observe the fuel pressure for 5 min.Fuel pressure: More than 147 kPa (1.5 kg/cm2, 21 psi)
- 9If pressure is as specified, replace the pressure regulator.
