WATER THERMOSENSOR

Removal

  1. 1
    Remove the ignition coil assembly. (Refer to page G-21.)

    Disconnect the water thermosensor connector.
  3. 3
    Remove the water thermosensor.

Inspection

  1. 1
    Place the sensor in water with a thermometer and heat the water gradually.

  2. 2
    Measure resistance of the sensor with an ohmmeter.
  3. 3
    If not as specified, replace the water thermosensor.

Installation

  1. 1
    Install the water thermosensor and a new washer.
    Tightening torque: 25—29 N·m (2.5—3.0 m-kg, 18—22 ft-lb)

    Connect the water thermosensor connector.
  3. 3
    Install the ignition coil assembly. (Refer to page G-21.)
Tightening torque (water thermosensor)
25-29N·m

THROTTLE SENSOR

Inspection

  1. 1
    Disconnect the connector from the throttle sensor.

    Connect the (SSTs) or an ohmmeter to the throttle sensor.
