Preparation SST

Step 1

  1. 1
    Disconnect the connector from the fuel tank sender unit.
    Fuel tank sender unit with SST 49 0839 285 connected via red lead to terminal-wire (Y).

    Connect the red lead of the SST to terminal-wire (Y) and the black lead to a body ground.
  3. 3
    Set the SST to the resistance values shown in the figure.

    Turn the ignition switch ON, and verify that the needle indicates the correct values.

Step 2

  1. 1
    Remove the instrument cluster. (Refer to page T-33.)
  2. 2
    Apply 12V to terminal 2k and ground terminal 2j.

    Connect the red lead of the SST to terminal 1a and the black lead to a ground.
  4. 4
    Set the SST to the resistance values shown in the figure.

    Verify that the needle indicates the correct values.
