REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS

Replacement of Rear Combination Light Lens

    Use a hot air blower to soften the "hot melt" (bonding agent) around the lens.
    Hand using a hot air blower (heat gun) directed at the perimeter of the rear combination light lens to soften the 'hot melt' bonding agent (Step 1).

    Remove the lens from the light housing by pushing the rear of the lens with a hammer handle or round bar.
    Rear combination light assembly with a hammer handle / round bar being pushed against the rear of the lens to separate it from the housing (Step 2).

    Heat the light housing, and remove the "hot melt" and any fragments of the lens.
    The "hot melt" should be reused if possible.
    If the "hot melt" can be reused, the Step 4 is unnecessary.
    Empty rear combination light housing (no lens) showing the bonding groove around the periphery, ready for removal of 'hot melt' residue (Step 3).

    Put Uni-sealer (8531 77 739) adhesive in the light housing groove.
    Hand applying Uni-sealer adhesive with a brush into the lens-housing groove (Step 4).

    Fit the new lens onto the light housing. Press the lens firmly so that it will adhere.
    Two hands pressing the new lens firmly onto the rear combination light housing so the adhesive sets (Step 5).
