Inspection

Brake fluid level sensor — Inspection

  1. 1
    Check continuity of the sensor.
    Photo of the brake fluid reservoir with multimeter leads connected to the brake fluid level sensor terminals for continuity checking.

    If continuity is not as specified, replace the level sensor.

PARKING BRAKE SWITCH

Inspection

Parking brake switch — Inspection

  1. 1
    Disconnect the parking brake switch connector.
    Photo of the parking brake switch with multimeter leads connected between the switch connector and a body ground for continuity checking.

    Check for continuity between the switch connector and a body ground.
  3. 3
    If continuity is not as specified, adjust or replace the parking brake switch.

Seat belt buckle switch — Inspection

  1. 1
    Disconnect the seat belt buckle switch connector.
