DRL unit inspection

  1. 1
    Apply 12V to terminal c, and measure the voltage at terminals d and k.
    DRL unit bench test for Step 1: 12V applied to terminal c (via battery, in addition to j/i grounding), voltmeter measures terminals d and k.

    If not as specified, replace the DRL unit.
  3. 3
    Remove 12V from terminal c.
  4. 4
    Apply 12V to terminals f and h, and measure the voltage at terminals d and k.
    DRL unit bench test for Step 4: 12V applied to terminals f and h; voltmeter probes terminals d and k.

    If not as specified, replace the DRL unit.
  6. 6
    Remove 12V from terminals f and h.
  7. 7
    Ground terminal b, and check the voltage at terminals d and k.
    DRL unit bench test for Step 7: 12V remains on j, terminal b is grounded, voltmeter checks terminals d and k.

    If not as specified, replace the DRL unit.

    Check for continuity between terminals of the DRL unit.
    DRL unit bench test for Step 9: ohmmeter checks continuity between terminal pairs d–f and h–k on the DRL unit.

    If not as specified, replace the DRL unit.
