Step 4 — Measure headlight switch connector voltages

  1. 1
    Reconnect the headlight connector.

    Remove the column cover.
  3. 3
    Measure the voltage at the following terminal-wires of the headlight switch connectors (in the combination switch) as shown.

Step 5 — Headlight switch inspection

  1. 1
    Disconnect the headlight switch connectors.
    Photo of the headlight switch unit removed from the combination switch, with terminal positions labeled BTN, BA, HO, HB, HU, HL, TNS for the continuity inspection in Step 5.

    Check for continuity between terminals as shown with an ohmmeter.
  3. 3
    If not as specified, replace the headlight switch.
  4. 4
    If correct, check for a poor connection in the system.

Step 5 — Headlight switch continuity (O—O: Indicates continuity)
