U.S. spec. vs Canada spec. turn signal switch have different inspection procedures.

Removal / Installation

Remove and install as shown in the figure.

Inspection

Turn signal switch (U.S. spec.)

Turn signal switch (U.S. spec.) inspection

  1. 1
    Remove the knee protector.
  2. 2
    Disconnect the combination switch connector.
  3. 3
    Check continuity between terminals of the switch.
  4. 4
    If not as specified, replace the combination switch as an assembly.

Turn signal switch (Canada spec.)

  1. 1
    Remove the column cover, then disconnect the turn signal switch connector.
  2. 2
    Check for continuity between terminals of the switch.
  3. 3
    If not as specified, replace the turn signal switch.

Hazard warning switch inspection

  1. 1
    Remove the hazard switch.
    Hazard warning switch removed from the cluster panel with terminal h identified on the switch connector.

    Check continuity between terminals of the switch.
  3. 3
    If not as specified, replace the hazard switch and retractor switch as an assembly.
